I find this post somewhat ironic considering how many times I have seen you defend the honor of The Maine. Just sayin.

I don't believe I've ever defended their music though, really just them as people and how good they are at running their band/keeping their fans involved and interested. I'd still say I'm right there, as I'm pretty sure you once said that they wouldn't make a dime off the band and that the trend would die out soon.... well look at those guys now. I really just see CC as another band trying to scrape up anything left they can of this dead scene. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they used to sound nothing like this?

I don't think I said they would never make a dime, but I did say the trend would die out soon. And I think it is dying, but hey what do I know.

As far as these guys go, I think they had some lineup changes recently. I know we played with them back in February and I thought they were pretty solid live. I would certainly rank em way above bands like Hello Hollywood/My Girl Friday/whatever flavor of the week kids band pops up from week to week.

The scene is still toasted though. Outside of metalcore there isn't much here.

Haha, I'm working on it. I'm not exactly a huge metalcore/hardcore fan, but according to people who are that I shared some of my band's stuff so far with it's different in a positive way. All I know is I'm trying to breathe life into how the drums work.
