You can now download the second in a four-part podcast with Underoath explaining the writing and recording process for their new album, Ø (Disambiguation). The podcast also samples 3 new songs. The band's new record will be in stores November 9th via Tooth & Nail Records.
Actually, you can download up to part 3!!! part 4 (final part) comes out tomorrow.
These makes me appreciate the band SO MUCH more now. They are one of the most forward thinking bands out there. The explanation of the opening to track 3 "Catching Myself Catching Myself" is so sick. A shout through a hall and reversing the vocal s and all, WHEW!
Paper Lung, Driftwood, Who Will Guard the Guardians, but ESPECIALLY Reversal, has me the most excited about this album.
Easily Album of the year. It's not too often a CD of this caliber comes out. Vheissu by Thrice and Come Now Sleep by As Cities Burn are 2 of the only ones I can think of which this much imagination, and brilliance! underOath really has stepped into a new realm.
Does anyone get a sort of Thrice(ish) feel on Paper Lung and Driftwood?
