I was really stoked on this album and I still am. I remember when I first listened to Define the Great Line, hated it...then a year later listened to it and every time I did I heard something new. 2 drum sets, ..odd talking and just little tiny details that makes you say"wow". After that I loved that album and it's on repeat. I find that albums I hate at first and I keep listening to are really the albums that define the great line (no pun intended haha) between a album that is catchy and good for a year and an album that holds it's value and will have lasting value.
This is how this album is, although I was pretty disappointed to see aaron leave as he was a big influence on my drumming. I was very interested in seeing where daniel would fit in and fill the void. Also how spencers singing would come into play.
Underoath is amazing this album keeps on growing and they are their own band and not a copy cat of other bands in the whole "Warped Tour" Crowd/bands or what not. It's different, it's dark, ...I dk so many different words could vocalize it. I would have to say they are one of the most creative bands out there right now.
This album is the awesome hands down. I don't think you can compare it to their past 3 records because it's totally different and has it's own flavor. So here it is:
I'm almost at the half-way mark of this album,
and I can really say, it's been a trip listening to this so far.
Who ever reviewed this pretty much hit the nail on the end: it's Underoath at the core, but the experimentation in this album really shows their progression.

Just wait. Vacant Mouth is by far my favorite track.

Yes, that was a great album.
Listened all the way through without a problem... kept my attention at all times, and that's when I know it's a good album.
this album just grew on me more than their previous outputs
it just has a darker qualtiy
and it sounds more honest
instead of trying to fit a pop hook
in every crushing symphony
