According to Entertainment Weekly, "The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee announced today it had unanimously approved a bill giving the Justice Department new powers to combat websites that illegally offer copyrighted content for sale, download, or streaming." More information can be found here.

Update:The bill allows the Justice Department to seek a court order against the domain name of websites offering illegal music or movie downloads or ones that sell counterfeit goods ranging from fake tennis shoes to pharmaceutical products.
in other news, 50 movies stars bought 5 more residencies each, and then went bankrupt two years later. no Hollywood, you cannot have anymore of my money for your overpaid and financially irresponsible movie stars to fund their multiple houses and rehab stints.
