Kill Your ExThis Is Gravity
Label: Self-released
Release Date: October 31, 2006

Who:

Oregon pop-core band with an affinity for angles that Gabe Gross says "bring a vigilant combination of rock, pop and hardcore".

How is it?:

Kind of like a less heady version of Rufio (I know?!?). Joey Rubenstein’s got some pipes though. Combine those with his name and KYX might be able to fool more than a few Militia Group/Fueled By Ramen fans into thinking they’re from a bigger market.

Beavers and Ducks, Beavers and Ducks:
“Mudlark”

Your cheatin’ heart manifests itself through my bleeding vocal chords: Rufio, Cartel, This Providence

I've tried so many times for them to change their name. Damn Portland "hardcore" scene holds them down. This album is a step up from last album for sure though.

Thanks for the namedrop?

This part confused me, mainly the part about the combination of his name and pipes fooling the fans.
Just some contructive critcism, keep up the good work.

Joey Rubenstein is a New York or LA name if there ever was one.

thats hilarious that names can 'sound' like theyre from a certain place. Well either way, i'm from portland and can defenetly say that this EP is way better than their last one, and their last one was given a better score than their this one. so you either a) didnt really listen to it or b) shouldnt be reviewing albums.
