rise isnt a bad label at all in terms of what they can do for a band. their roster was just really shitty for a while, it still is with the exception of a few bands. i think they realize they need to branch out because this crab shit won't stick around for long. transit and mano (and this is hell and piebald) all do it for all the right reasons and make good music. i'm fucking stoked for these dudes. party on wayne

Transit's statement:
Quote:
Greetings. Here’s a big update from the Transit camp.

We are proud to announce we have signed to Rise Records.

We know what you’re thinking... our music doesn’t really fit in with the "Rise Sound". So yes, we will be completely changing our style of music to fit in with this new label. More breakdowns, more screaming, some makeup, and much better hairstyles. Just you wait and see.

But seriously...we’re NOT doing that. Rise is a label that we’re very excited to be working with, since in reality there is no "Rise Sound" and they have always been a diverse label. They are here to support Transit for what we are, and what we do. We are stoked to be on the same roster as rad bands like Piebald and This Is Hell, as well as our friends in Man Overboard who also just signed with Rise . We’re happy and ready for the future.

Piebald put out some re-issues on Rise during the summer, that is old news so don't bother.

and yes even though Piebald is the best band to release anything on Rise, I saw Transit last Saturday and they were excellent. I have been listening to Keep This To Yourself all week, it's the best pop-punk album this year easily. for a band this young they are seriously going places, and they deserve every bit of success. definitely between them and This Is Hell for best active band on Rise (Man Overboard is great too but their last album was a bit disappointing)

I know Man Overboard and Transit won't change. They'll do what they want.

This Is Hell isn't new on to Rise. Hope this doesn't become a massive fuck up for these bands like The Years Gone By as well they aren't even a band now. Good for Rise, they get too much hate.

This is incredibly worthy of a "WTF". Can't believe that Piebald's back and never thought in my life I'd see them on Rise. Props to the label for making a huge push to being a more diverse label.
