Haven't listened to this yet, but I'm guessing since he's calling himself "Nicky Ray" it's probably going to be bad. I had a feeling this dude would make music like this. Trends are bad, m'kay.
But otherwise, I think he's an amazing writer and even vocalist; TYGB were awesome. It's a shame how they were just inches from getting a lot of attention and then they ended it. They could've done big things for sure. I was genuinely convinced they were going to be in that group of bands that would help to "save pop-punk".
I recently got a hold of On The Verge after only having the "new" stuff, and it's been whoopin' my ass all week. Wish I could've seen this band live.
Some Nick is better than no Nick... so I'd much prefer this over nothing. But, it's not TYGB, so it won't be nearly as good as they were. I miss them quite a bit. I will now listen to On The Verge, again.
I was about to say, "Why was this neccesary, it sounds just like The Years Gone by with some autotune" but the I read in the replies that they broke up, had no idea. I enjoyed The Years Gone By but I didn't see them going anywhere, they really didn't set themselves apart.
