* shrug * Every band is using Kickstarter now. Not a bad thing necessarily, but could get old really quickly...

I think I was one of the few people who loved their last album. Will definitely consider supporting this.

Kickstarter=lazy. This new trend is ridiculous. Get off your asses and get a job. If you're going to donate money online to anything, do it for a charity.

How is contributing $10 and getting the album different than buying the album on itunes for $10? Oh wait... It's not. Quit being a dick.

because theyre asking people to do the work for them. being in a band is difficult. everyone knows that. i did it for 10 years. anyone can use garage band or any bedroom recording program, buy a few mics and do a pro job. it is absolutely unnecessary to ask fans for more money to continue your lifestyle. i have many friends in real bands and they have to go back to their 9-5s after tour. its just a fact you have to face in this day and age.

You didn't answer my question (that I already answered for you).

It's not like the people who contribute get nothing out of it. You're just butthurt this program wasn't around during your glory days in a band.

im not butthurt about anything. i still make music and so do my friends. people are just asking for handouts.

the point of this is that its pre-empting the product and creative process. i dont think theres any better way to pay for downloads than directly to the band. but theyre asking for financing to even make an album, not asking for money in exchange for a finished product.
