Guilty Until Proven Innocent?

Posted by: Jason Tate (02/07/07)
A new article was recently published on the behavior of fake RIAA and MPAA trackers which says that the organizations have "no proof that you actually tried to share infringing content. Even worse, it is extremely easy for someone to make it look like you shared an infringing file, even if you’ve never used a filesharing application."

Well duh, I mean wasn't our country founded on principles like "guilty until proven innocent"? It's just common sense, really.

yeah, i mean this makes sense. i do not think it's right, but the riaa is just trying to make examples out of people, even if they are innocent. it's a sad state of affairs, but this is what it's come to.

Isnt that unconstitutional? I can wait til they go after a blind deaf guy .... and say that he downloaded music illegally. i will laugh at the RIAA's demise.

i dont agree with the RIAA, but at least they're trying to stop people from stealing music. I personally want to see record labels and the whole music industry keep going and do well. Why should a label sign a band if kids are just going to download their music? I feel bad for the people that are being made examples, but something extreme has to be done to get people to understand that downloading music is not legal.
