I don't think they'll have to.

In Apatow fashion, I'm sure we'll see some combination of Rogen, Segal, Hill, Hader, Robinson, etc.

Hopefully, this movie would definitely need a strong supporting casts if those two are in the lead roles.

this is great news. I am so fucking excited. Knocked Up is one of my favorite comedies ever, mostly because of Paul Rudd. every line he has in that movie is gold

I don't know, man. Paul Rudd can carry a movie himself if it's the right kind of movie. I Love You, Man and Role Models both grossed fine despite both having less than relevant co-stars at the time they were released. Add in that this is a spin off with Apatow's name on it, I think it can do just fine. As we all know, Hollywood is no more a business of talent than music is.
