Protagonist - Reasoning With Time
Label: Stakeout Records
Release Date: July 2, 2006

Who:

Former Blackout! Records’ golden boys resurface after dropping off the face of the earth for three years with eight minutes of original material and two covers.

How is it?

If Set Your Goals ditched the pop-punk and fully embraced their bro-core tendencies, it would likely sound something like this. Hope and Rage is one of the best hardcore albums you don’t own. This EP doesn’t show enough progression, depth, or whatever to warrant such a delay between releases though. Plus, the Morrissey cover is just downright painful to listen to.

There goes my hero: “Reasoning With Time”
