Sounds legit. He got in trouble a time or two in college. Apparently he beat the shit out of his girlfriend, but no charges ever came of it.

As good as the players are at Alabama and the SEC in general, a lot of them come from shitty upbringing and don't know how to stay out of trouble. See Rolando McClain.

True. I think if the talent and the hard-work ethic is there, the character issues tend to take a backseat IMO. I'd rather have the most talented guy on my team, and deal with off-field issues later.

Tommy Rees and a few other ND football players were arrested tonight. Tommy was belligerently drunk, charged a cop, kicked him in the shin, got maced to the faced, and was put into the back of a squad car and taken away, possibly unconscious.

Fuck Rees, I hate the kid, but the kind of ill media this is going to bring to the program is not something I'm looking forward to. Fighting Irish indeed...

Edit: For those wondering, a friend of mine who I spoke to directly witnessed all of this personally.

so the CUSA/MWC merger conference looks like a dead deal....

CUSA to add North Texas (sun belt), Louisiana Tech (sun belt), Florida international (sun belt), Texas San Antonio (wac/kinda), Charlotte (a10), old dominion (CAA) for all sports. So CUSA is adding 2 teams who havent played FCS football yet.

CAA taking a blow in basketball losing ODU... and a10 can live without charlotte.

Hard to say. He's never been a starter for a Division I team, but he was pretty highly recruited and was competing for the starting job in Georgia back when he was a freshman.
