i think more bands should try and do this... even though its really ambitious, record a bunch of songs, release one album and then if the material fits and the feeling is right why not release another album? me likey
Circa Survive? Switchfoot? Why do you think it took so long for both of them to make another album? On Letting Go came out in 2007 and Blue Sky Noise came out in somewhat-early 2010, then they released an EP in late November. Switchfoot released Oh, Gravity! the day after Christmas in 2006 and then Hello Hurricane came out almost 3 entire years later. They were supposed to released another cd last year, but pushed it back to this year for some reason. The gaps between records gave both bands ample time to write tons of new material. Not to mention that the frontmen of both bands went on to put out solo material during those times. Just thought I'd add that. Haha
