Wow, disagree with your score vehemently. Super disappointed in this album, and I liked The Hawk Is Howling.

And Mogwai is one of the few crescendo-core post-rock bands I listen to.

Lol, I've been saying that for a while now. Whenever I use it people are like, "haha, that's awesome," but somehow it still hasn't caught on.

Have you gotten to hear the Rano Pano 7'' b-side "Hasenheide"? I've only heard the Amazon sample, but it sounds (to me) better than most of the album tracks.

It's too bad "Hasenheide" isn't on the album—easily better than most of it.
