this is a really great record. definitely one of my early contenders for aoty

This record truly is an impressive debut; an album that encompasses all ranges of emotions. I don't think I could clearly say which song stands out the most - it is an album that must be listened to in its entirety.

"Hollywood Hollows" is so different from the rest of the album, although almost every song sounds different, which is what makes this such a great record. Anyway, I wasn't sure how I felt about that track at first, but I love it now.

Really digging this...excited to spend more time with it.

It's pretty interesting to hear all the different comparisons being made between USR's music and all these other bands, many of whom have obviously had an influence on them. I am surprised I am the first to mention the striking resemblance "Hollywood Horrors" bears to "Five to One" by The Doors, and that is definitely a compliment. Even the lyrics are reminiscent of Morrison's. Speaking of lyrics, I'm impressed by how they really weave an overall cohesive theme throughout the album.

Second song sounds so much like Portugal. The Man.
