New Venice has posted their debut 7" EP "Movements - One & Two" for free on Bandcamp. It is the first of a series of digital and physical releases due out in the first quarter of 2011.

December in Rome has a new EP out on Bandcamp.

Paper Hearts just released a three song EP recorded with Rob Freeman (Hidden In Plain View, Hit The Lights, Cobra Starship) at the Pilot Studio. The EP is called "Our Wild Affairs" and it's available for download on iTunes and Amazon. It is streaming on MySpace and PureVolume. RIYL: Forever The Sickest Kids, The Ready Set, and Metro Station.

The Armory (Rock/Alternative/Experimental) band from Atlanta, Ga has posted an album teaser for their upcoming album set to be released in March, 2011.

The River Card have put their brand new 7" up for download. You can still pick up an actual copy on their merch store.

Beyond Goodbye just released their first single "Number One" on facebook. It was produced by Nick Bilotta of Holly Heist/Arcuates at Dinowax Studios in Biddeford, Maine.

The Gamma Foundation, comprised of ex-members of Fordirelifesake, Sleep Tight Tiger and Goodison, out of Rochester Hills, Michigan, has finally released their debut. The Lewis and Quark EP is available in digital format via their webstore, with special edition, hand screen printed and numbered hard copies to follow.

A new British band called The Holiday apparently comprising of ex-members of The Riverclub, The Auteur and Jaimison have posted a track to download for free. The track is called 'You & Me' and can be downloaded here.

February 16, 2011 – Bostonbased One Step Away joins Ra Ra Riot,Melissa Auf der Maur, Flying Lotus, Hemoptysis, Darrell Scott, Jim Campilongo, Jackson Browne and David Lindley and other self-released and independent label talent as Nominees for The 10th Independent Music Awards (The IMAs), the influential awards program for independent bands and fans.One Step Away is comprised of Adam Carrington (Lead Vocals), Terence Healy (Lead Guitar), Mike Nuzzolo (Bass) and Ben Trudeau (Drums).

Representing the broad spectrum of today’s global independent music scene, the more than 300 Nominees in nearly 70 Song, Album, Music Video and Design categories were culled from submissions from North America, South America, Asia, Australia and Europe.

One Step Away is an Independent Music Award nominee for their full-length Pop/Rock Album “For the Broken”. “For the Broken” was produced at Soundmine Recording Studio (Four Year Strong, Framing Hanley, Forever the Sickest Kids) by Dan Malsch and Alec Henninger. Songs from For the Broken are currently on rotation at over 120 different radio stations across the United States. One Step Away won the We Are Listening Break the Band Contest in December 2010. This past January, they performed as semi-finalists at Showcase Live at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro in the RJL Memorial Battle of the Bands along-side American Idol Finalist Siobhan Magnus. Next month, One Step Away has a series of shows at the Church (Boston) on March 1st with touring band LoveBettie; The Limelight (Boston) on March 3rd, recording scenes for their next video; The Pelham Club (Newport RI) on March 5th and the Middle East Downstairs (Cambridge) on March 26th. Known for celebrating artists that follow their own muse, The 10th IMA Nominees are an eclectic mix of rising stars including Strawfoot (Alt. Country Song), Hemoptysis (Metal/Hardcore Song), and Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three (Amerciana Album) and established talent including telecaster virtuoso, Jim Campilongo (Instrumental Album), experimental multi-genre artist, Flying Lotus (Music Video and Dance/Electronica Song), and indie rockers, Ra Ra Riot (Pop/Rock Album). Perhaps better known as major label acts, this year’s Nominees strutting their independence include former Hole bassist, Melissa Auf der Maur (Indie/Alt./Hard Rock Album), and songwriting legend Jackson Browne with David Lindley (Live Performance Album).
