I almost got VIP for the TO show but settle for GA. I've been to the Sound Academy before but never on the balcony/in the VIP area. Has anyone been...surely its less crowded up there but I also think that it's probably not as close to the stage as compared to being on the floor...no?

45 dollars is pretty standard these days for a band Brand New's size. 2012.

They could charge 60 a ticket and still sell the small venues out easily. So we should be happy I guess.

Ha, chill. Let the kid be excited!

I know you used to be in love with the band, were a bigger fan than anyone back in the day, and for a long time, have seen them a ton live, and hate the direction they've gone both live and in the studio... But he hasn't seen them, loves the band they are right now, and is excited to finally see this defining band (for him personally) live.

I don't care for them at this point much, either, but that's cool; neither of us are attending this show with him. Similarly, I don't care if you're excited about Noah and the Whale, Big D and the Kids Table, or some other band that has no personal connection to me, and you shouldn't care if I get excited about Thrice, Taylor Swift, or anything else you aren't into.

This fellow loves this band. He's going to have a bloody good time seeing them live. Who are we to cramp his style? Fo' realz.

did you miss where i said i paid that much for the FOOOOOO FIGHTERS? ya know, the biggest rock band in the world? that would be a giant rip-off.

how? i've gotten into this debate in here a bunch of times, and it's cause prices keep going up but they aren't even putting out new material. i saw alkaline trio for 20 bucks. against me! for 12 bucks. against me! had a giant radio single, brand new hasn't. you're wrong.

A band of this caliber, I would pay $45. It doesn't seem that much. At least, if that's without service fees and such.

$45 every two or three years isn't "made of money".

$45 dollars is steep for a band of brand new's stature for sure. Only paid I think 25 for my Thrice tickets and it's their fuckin farewell tour.
