dubstep fail on help I'm alive, everything but the dubstep was solid, but the womp womps really didn't fit in with this track, they were too loud and heavy. sounds promising though, clearly jade realizes that dubstep is where electronic is heading for the foreseeable future, he just needs to work on it.
love the gold and guns track, he put some sweet '95 "night at the roxbury" synth in there haha
the britney remix was actually an improvement over the original too. watch out for Jade, he's got great musical sensibilities.
I hardly ever use soundcloud, but I really like the concept of commenting on specific parts.
As for the remixes, Jade has a knack for making songs / remixes that are really enjoyable, even if they're not always good.
The bar has been set pretty low for remixes, since I listen to a lot of bands whose singles tend to have 8 b-sides of mostly crummy remixes. So usually, if a remix is decent, it gets upgraded to "good".
But Help I'm Alive was really mediocre. I wound up skipping around after the halfway point to see if anything changed.
It doesn't help that I'm not familiar enough with Metric to know what all was changed (for me they're one of those, cool when someone else puts them on, but I wouldn't bands).
