This will work out for the best, really. These guys are one of my favorites.

Shocked EMI is still operating, to be honest. Not sure how you can be so broke when you have the rights to such popular catalogs.

Sometimes the label does everything in their power and the album still doesn't react to the general public. It's a combination of having the right song at the right time, luck, hard work (This means each member puts in more hours than a full time job), back story, and tours, among other things.

This band is absolutely incredible. I hope this leads to good things for them.

Despite their old bands, despite how big they are in Chicago, and whatever BIG label they were on... this band needs to hit the road hard on a local level just like every other independent band. I would love to tour/party with AM Taxi and help them in any way. Great band. Cool dudes. I played with them once at The Warehouse in Wisconsin. They were really good. The scene needs more good rock bands like this one.

Not surprised. And while I definitely enjoy a few cuts from the band's album...

When are record labels going to learn that signing a band who sounds exactly like an already popular band won't work? By the time the majors get their hands on them, the general public has decided on a "favorite" and anything else is usually interpreted as a cheap knock-off. I'm not saying that more than one band with a certain type of "sound" can't co-exist, nor am I saying that it's a bad thing.

But in terms of having a "hit," it just won't happen for more than one or two bands in any sub-genre of "punk rock" at any given time. There's only so much room on radio playlists.

That being said? These dudes would probably fair better on an indie than a major, anyway.
