Triclops! - Cafeteria Brutalia Released February 6th, 2007
Grungy acid-rock outta San Francisco composed of members from bands such as Bottles and Skulls, Fleshies, Lower Forty Eight, and Victims Family. Releasing Cafeteria Brutalia as a placemat for the band’s career. Composed of four songs that date to the band’s very beginnings, no more than three years ago, complete with a more realized rhythm section and the dirty aftermath that comes with it.
How Is It?
Fast and sloppy, Triclops! is relentless in approach; streamlining verse after verse of spit and grime in songs that get as lengthy as ten minutes (“Bug Bomb”). Stylistically, think a less noisecore influenced xbxrx, and you’ll be somewhere in the vicinity of San Fran’s crudest four-piece. Though, reiterating, this is merely a release of the band’s older, less realized, material, the four tracks are a decent look at a fairly unique mix of musicians.
I Spy With My Three Eyes…: “Mi Plisbpy”, “Bug Bomb”
No Match For Odysseus: xbxrx, La Guillotine, Coachwhips
