Let's be honest. Pop-punk isn't dead. There has been a massive amount of bands of new bands springing up everywhere across the country. Today we present you with Light Years, a band from Ohio who reminds us of current trend setters like The Wonder Years and Title Fight. Their song "World Burns Out" off of This Will Come Back To Haunt Me can be found on the band's AP.net profile.
Beyond geographical similarities, acquaintanceship, and a small handful of overlapping influences, I don't know if I'd put the Wonder Years in the same breath as Title Fight too often. Bands that prove you can have very different strains of fast pop-punk.
first line sounds exactly like "i took a beating" by IATA. and it rhymes with it. interesting
whoa... dead on the same.... same key and timing & everything. I think a lot of times bands will write a song/melody and not even realize what they did until after the fact. It isn't always intentional when this happens.
