The Adored - A New Language

Adored, The - A New Language
Record Label - V2 Records
Release Date - July 11, 2006

Who:
Los Angeles based power pop quartet who have been praised in magazines such as Alternative Press ("Band You Need To Watch"), LA Times, Spin, Rolling Stone, and The Washington Post.

How Is It?
The Adored play a brand of power pop that is both sneering and addictively catchy and have more in common with bands like The Buzzcocks, Pulp, and The Jam than they do with the ultra polished bands that are now considered power pop. For those who want their power pop with a bit of a bite, the punk rock influences that lay beneath the band's hooks will satisfy your cravings and allow you to tell all your buddies you listen to power pop with pride. They have toured with everyone from The Pink Spiders and Art brut to Planes Mistaken For Stars and Tiger Army. It is a shame V2 recently decided to stop releasing new records, hopefully The Adored find a new home because I am looking forward to hearing how this band progresses considering they are one of the few bands striving for a vintage sound that do not get on my nerves.

Standout Tracks: "The Window", "Tell Me Tell Me", and "Chemistry"
