yeah, i hear ya. im stoked that theyre going for an old sound and new sound though. since they said this is an apple shampooish thing, and then tom was mentioning the other, more progressive influences.

I think it's:

"The veins you cut"
"But you only care about fame and fortune"
"Lost in your own reflection"

Excited, but they should have been done writing a while ago. Put some music out already you tease.

these are pretty much it. I think

And I guess they are writing the songs individually, so like work on the whole of one song and then get that pretty much done and go onto another, I suppose you can when you don't have to pay for recording time and can just do it every day.
So the instrumentation is probably done for this song, just now starting on lyrics/vocals.

still predicting a fall release. at the earliest.

Guys come on, do some research. Blink doesn't record traditionally. They always save the lyrics for last, one song at a time.

yea sad that theyre still writing. hope they'll just come up with a true estimate for the release instead of constantly trying to keep the release hype with misleading promises since 09. certainly looks like summer release is impossible. any truthful news from them would be great right now
