Newsflash for ap.net users: the lead singer is always the center of attention. They're the person that defines the band. It's not something they ask for, it's just the way it is. It's always been that way. No need to blow this up. Is it because she's a chick that we're doing this?
When we think of Aerosmith we think Steven Tyler, Bono for U2, Dave Grohl for Foo Fighters, Chris Martin for Coldplay. I could go on. There are always exceptions, but for the majority of the bands out there, the lead is the face of the band.
And what's wrong with Hayley doing an interview strictly for her female fan base?
Why does everyone here feel the need to be all edgy and against the mainstream? She shouldn't be confined to doing only music magazines. If Jeremy or Taylor were on GQ or Details, would we be hissing a fit because the whole band wasn't involved?
Pete Wentz vs. Patrick Stump.
Last I checked, Pete wasn't the singer, but he is most definitely more the center of attention than Patrick when it came to Fall Out Boy.
