Pumped for new Alk3 (in the minority, it seems, of those who loved This Addiction), not so pumped for Matt's solo album (wasn't huge on his previous stuff, hope he'll surprise me).
I think his album will be a pretty big surprise for a lot of people, especially given the way he described what he wanted to do in earlier interviews and the people he worked on the album with. In fact, it will probably be a shit storm of people who either really love it, or really hate it.
Alright, someone explain to me what is going on with Alkaline Trio, because I am confused.
Alk3 announced that they were going to reimagine some of their back catalog for a new release this year. Is this the "new" album? Or did they record an album of new material in addition to the re-recorded older tracks?
You're telling me that since 2009 Alkaline Trio has completed This Addiction and a new full length, also in the process or have finished a re-do of some of their songs. Matt Skiba has released one of his CDs finished another one, Dan doing the Emergency Room and recording a new full length. And all blink has done is "throw around ideas", Travis and Tom both releasing horrible CDs?! Get your shit together blink. But I'm stoked for this new Alkaline stuff they always surprise me with some really catchy songs. Begin the hate.
