Seriously though, as a fan, what's next? Shipwreck was a step in the right direction, but it could have stood to be taken farther. Rescue feels like one step forward and two steps back -- some great cuts undermined by the unsettling familiarity in half the tracks. I'm perturbed.

With so many new bands giving into and gaining popularity with backtracked synths, auto-tune, monotonous breakdowns, and self-indulgent image appeal, does it deter you that these bands are gaining cheap popularity while integrable artists are getting overlooked?
