Pitchfork gave this a far better review than the new Foo Fighters. As far as mainstream pop disguised as another genre goes (Foos, rock; Wiz, rap) this cannot touch the new Foo record.
Although the FF record is a pop album, it's good and has enough actual rock to get away with it.
This is too poppy for the kind of rap album it's billed as. And lyrics are so much in rap, so having such poor ones is inexcusable.

All that being said, my basketball team won the championship this year and wear Black and Yellow, so that's become a bit of a theme song. The rest? Don't touch it.

yeah, he gave it a weak score, but i wouldn't have even rated it that high just in comparison to his previous work. and creativity should be lower.

Good review though.

This was better than I was expecting it to be (especially after the release of Cabin Fever).

It still has songs that I will listen to years from now but I doubt I'll spin the whole album past this year.
