I pre-order a lot of stuff on Amazon, because you don't have to pay until they ship it. But in this case, you get the music now, and more money goes to the artist, so I don't see the downside.

I guess it doesn't, I just have a personal pet peeve when it comes to pre-ordering directly from artists or labels...I've never had a good experience with any of them and my music always comes late, so unless there's some sort of bonus incentive (t-shirt, signed stuff, etc...) I prefer to wait until a few days before the release and buy it with free two day shipping from amazon.

That's crazy, but I get it. Personally, I've received music early every single time I've pre-ordered. I wonder if I'm just lucky.
