I'm definitely with you as far as not knowing what to call that album, haha. But as my previous comment stated (I need to edit it now...) I'm not so sure that I'd call it pop-punk. Shrug.

But I guess that's why it's your list! Hah! How did you go about selecting these? Was it purely based on personal taste or did you let other things bleed in?
Haha mostly just personal taste. Also after the top 5 it's really just a clusterfuck of albums I've listened to countless times, it was almost impossible to make a real order. I had a list of like 30 albums to narrow down to ten and I didn't want more than 5 in the honorable mentions. I just put Thrice on the list at first and ranked it accordingly without really thinking about the genre too much. If I had put more thought into it maybe it wouldn't have been there.

I mean if you're gonna have a band on there twice I definitely would've put Deja Entendu over Take Off Your Pants and Jacket or Paper Walls (or even Ocean Avenue honestly, Paper Walls is my favorite YC album) but that's just me.
I don't consider that a pop punk record really, and I should have put Something To Write Home About on that list for sure. Ah well.

Is "The Artist In The Ambulance" pop punk? That really threw me off when I saw that.

Yeah I did wonder that

I'd put Dookie as #1 and Life in General as #2. In my mind, no new wave pop-punk bands can top those classics.
