The creators obviously weren't intending for you to really be able to relate to them. It's irrelevant if you can relate to them. The show is about excess.

I agree Until the Bombs - I personally think the characters along with the excess factor seem reminiscent of Bret Easton Ellis or Gregg Araki, are you familiar with their work?

my sentiments exactly. The first series towed the lines of drama/comedy/absurdity quite nicely, second series was all over the place. I hate what they did with Cassie in series two ... so unlikeable and whiny i almost wished she was the second death instead of chris

I don't even understand what happened with Cassie at the end of Season 2. She just upped and left after the incident with Chris. I don't think her story came to a conclusion did it?

I guess we are supposed to believe she and sid make a go of it in nyc, from the very last shot

It's also not that easy/quick to get a work permit to work in the US if you're from the UK.

That's right, the drinking/drug taking/ death/split personality I can handle, but not the immigration administration.

Yeah, I'm all about Cassie too - and Chris. I think those two are my favorites... probably because they are the craziest ones haha.
