Vinnie stills rocks hard in I Am The Avalanche. I don't think age has anything to do with it. Don't get me wrong...I think it's great to see all 5 (6? Tom, really?) of them on stage together again, but it did seem a little forced. Maybe our expectations were too high. I've seen them a number of times in my life and I would say this performance was 5 out of 10.

Very good quality films though and thanks for sharing.

According to the internet, they broke up September 23rd, 2003. I saw them literally 5 days before that and they had no keyboard player. Thus, I'm inclined to think you are raving.

cool to hear the songs again, but not even close to what I remember seeing them live.

i don't think it has anything to do with the age, honestly. i think all of their sideprojects haven't been working out financially (though i love both NOY and IATA) so this was strictly for the $$$. i don't blame em, good way to cash in on dudes like me who would've paid to see em.

we're you there? obviously they didn't play the best, but the look on Vinnie's face and the look on the crowd's faces were just great. I have never heard a crowd chant "thank you" to a band multiple times and just be so appreciative. I never got to see the band, so I really enjoyed it. Also I've been to plenty of shows, but this is definitely up there as far as good experiences go.

fair enough. if you've never seen em and have been a fan for a while, i can imagine how awesome the hubris of a reunion show is. not meant to be a cool brag, but i saw vinnie rock the fuck out of a 30-person venue like it was bamboozle 10x over, so my standards are coming from a different place.

it's all love. this band still rox my sox.
