I've really enjoyed this album - its like they've heard those fan's cries for the sound of old and yet neither compromised their integrity or artistic direction to give it to them (if you know what i mean haha). Fits nicely in between FWN & Humbug whilst still sounding 'new'.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the album when I first heard it, but after a bunch more listens I absolutely love it. Waaaaay better than Humbug. The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala, She's Thunderstorms, Library Pictures, and Suck It and See are the big stand-out tracks for me. The only minor issue I have with it is Alex Turner's vocals. He does a fantastic job on some songs, but for the most part he sounds downright bored here. I wish he would go back to his former range. Overall, great summer album though.
