This. I keep getting my hopes up

I hope he gets down to the States too. Just like how I wish countless American bands realized there's more to Canada than Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Anyway, I've never been to Winnipeg Jazz Festival shows before, but I will attend for Shad.

Got to see him one of the very few times he hit the Twin Cities. Glad I did, so I don't have to constantly be as disappointed as everybody else when he doesn't come to the states.

I love each of them equally for different reasons.

His first release When This is Over I love because I feel it is his strongest lyrically.. It's very raw because he made it with money he'd won from a radio contest

His second release The Old Prince, I feel is the best lyrically/musically accessible.

And his third release I feel is his most accessible/radio worthy. Probably his best to get into initially and then back track. I honestly can't pick a favorite. I feel most of my favorite songs of his are on the first album though. He's just consistently awesome, so it's difficult to pick.

Forgot the date in Quebec City with Buck 65 for the Festival d'Été.

Talent-wise, he walks all over nearly any other rapper out there, yet without an air of intensity about him. Super chill guy. Go see him, he may whip out an acoustic guitar.

I saw him with Macklemore in April - far and away the best hip hop show I've been to. Shad freestyled a good 3 minutes about Fort Collins and Colorado State while playing his guitar. He's on a completely different level than almost every other rapper out there.

Can't wait to see him at NXNE. Set to be a unreal week for music!
