They always pick the best bands. That Karkwa album that won last year is still spun regularly. Can't wait to see who wins.

On the real, that new Black Mountain record is amazing.

I don't know very many albums on this list, but Arcade Fire, Destroyer, The Rural Alberta Advatage, and Stars all had great albums so this should be tough to pick a winner.

I have a feeling it will be Arcade Fire, which is totally deserved. They've had an amazing year. But an extremely strong list of candidates.

stars or austra should win bu obvs it is arcade fire who will.

The Five Ghosts, all the way. I could also see Destroyer, The Luyas, and Malajube winning.

My face is melting from the amount of awesome on that list.

Braids is one of my new bands. Dirty Beaches is the shit and Kaputt might be Destroyer's best album yet.

Stars should win, hopefully.

I want to see Colin Stetson win.
