I definitely dig it. The more the Killers use that synth sound, the more I inevitably like the song. All the same, I hope it's not the "best" of their new tracks.
It also sounds like Brandon has finally decided to just sing, instead of doing his best Springsteen impression. As much as I love Sam's Town, I think those songs with actual soaring vocals (like on Hot Fuss and Day & Age) just sound a hell of a lot better live; their latest live album proves this.
I have a feeling it will end up being different by the time the album comes out but I still like it. I'm hoping they bust out another new one tonight (or at least this one again and Brandon hits the high notes haha)
Nothing short of exciting when I hear this song. Is there any chance this album will het release this year?
There is a very very small chance that it comes out this year. They are normally pretty fast when they go to record the album but they just recently said they only have five songs that they think are good enough and they had 20 before they even went in to record day and age. So early next year is more likely.
to me, this band is to modern rock as rodney dangerfield was to comedy. no respect.
also, every one called brandon flowers a lunatic for saying sams town was the best record of the past 25 years, or whatever. he really might not have been THAT far off. I'd put it in the top 20 after these past few years, and I still have never come close to playing it out.
day and age is too feel good for some tho, and that bums me out. another fantastic record.
