I think my half-year favorites so far are.. (and I'll keep it at 5, because I tend to do 10 for full-year):

Thursday - No Devolucion
Bayside - Killing Time
Touche Amore - Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me
Crucial Dudes - 61 Penn
Moving Mountains - Waves

Up for recommendations on other albums this year that you think I'd enjoy if those five have been my favorites :)

the absolute best part of this list is there is no Pop Hip Hop. Although...who wouldn't enjoy another Ja-Rule release...

MTV shows music between the hours of 3 am and 9 am, as if they were some kind of late late night programming/infomercials, despite being called Music Television.

If they invested half the money they put into their stupid ass drama show reboots (Skins, Teen Wolf) into music-related programming, who knows, it may live up to its name again.

How can you have a Video Music Awards... when you don't show any videos or music? It might as well be hosted on HGTV or C-Span.

That was a lot better than I thought. MTV would probably be a great station if they were playing that music.
