yeah, an 88?
I don't bitch about scores often, but this is honestly at least a 93.
Especially since you reviewed RFTS and gave it a 95 and in this review you say that War Paint is better than RFTS....I must be lost.
The entire time I read the review I got the feeling you liked this album, maybe even loved it, but not as much as we all want to love it. And that scares me a little bit. Hell, wanna know how I found out about TDS? A freaking banner ad on this site back in May of 09. I really hope that kind of special relationship keeps on paying me back. haha
I was just going to say that! I wanted to hear how the instrumentals were...Bryan, Cody, nor Spencer were mentioned once. I am so stoked to hear Spencer's drumming on this album because HIPV have always been a huge influence of mine. Don't get me wrong, I wish it was Tyler, and I'm glad he's back. I'm just curious to hear Spencer's take.
Outro for Everyone Left stands out the most as far as Spencer's drumming is concerned. He's so solid on the rest, but he's got some pretty slick fills leading out!
Part of me feels that if this album is made to be looked at within a vaccum, it needs to be the same score as Reach For The Sun, which was a 95%. People may use the current score to imply that Reach For The Sun is better.
