I think, for many, these guys seemed a lot better than they actually were due to the fact that many people got into them when they were young and more impressionable. It's kind of like the pizza place you went to as a teenager which you always thought was "awesome" but then, as you grew up and your palette increased, you realized said pizza place was watered down and shitty. Same goes with bands like Finch, The Used, etc. They just haven't aged well.
As much as I loved their first 2 albums, these guys need to give it up. They haven't been relevant in years. I'm honestly surprised they are still around. They're not even on the radio are they?
Most bands reported here aren't on the radio..I agree with you though. In Love and Death is actually one of the first albums that got me into this "scene" when I was like 13 but I think their time has come and gone. I'll definitely give this a listen though.
Jesus Christ the comments on this site are nothing but negativity. I'm not a big Used fan but all of their albums have been good so far, and Feldy is a hell of a producer, especially when he's producing the Used. Why would anyone have any preconceived notion that this would be anything but great?
