Assuming they're still on Victory, it's just another bullshit label move. They also did this with an Atreyu album, if I recall correctly. It wasn't exactly an "instrumental" version, either, they just stripped out the lead vocal tracks (leaving in background vocals.)

I've almost watched their Major/Minor updates more for the music (instrumental Alchemy) than for the record info. Yes please, Thrice.

why not? don't see the harm in it. it's useful for learning songs by ear.
