It's not that they sound the same. The comparison is due to the fact that their growth seems to mirror each other.

"Burning At Both Ends" sounded a lot like Four Year Strong but that's it... weird comparisons

I don't understand how you could assume this album would be bad because SYG's was bad, they are two completely different bands that happen to release CD's around the same time. I personally think FYS is leading the genre. I don't really like this music but their last album was the best workout CD I've ever heard. This should be good.

after hearing the new song they've been playing, I got was less stoked. It is definitely underwhelming compared to everything else.

I'm prepared to be the only poster in this thread who thinks this band has progressed from borderline unlistenable (Rise) to merely mediocre (Enemy). But at that rate, I might like this. I imagine we're talking "rock" like Daytrader's "Kill My Compass", the last Swellers album, and/or A Day to Remember's "All I Want" (i.e. alternative rock with some emo/punk influence), which could actually be pretty good.

Not sure if I will dig this or not. I kinda feel like I am growing out of that kind of music, but they are awesome dudes and I will definitely try and pick it up.
