Today's Retro Reviews post takes a first look into something new: 10 year anniversary reviews. The youngest an album can be to qualify for a "Retro Reviews" is 10 years old, and both of these records celebrated their 10th birthdays within the last two months. We thought we'd start with these two, but count on more retro reviews from time to time.
I'd like to see some lesser known albums get the retrospective review treatment. I imagine the vast majority of the people on this website have heard and adored these albums for quite some time. Good idea and two great albums to kick it all off with, though.
Hope people like this feature and don't tear my head off and stuff.
It's a good idea and those are two genre-defining albums but I will admit it is slightly annoying seeing the amount of current releases that get ignored. It'd be less of an issue if we had less reviews of obvious mainstream pop music such as Beyoncé. Still, I do like looking back so I will be reading both of these.
