I'd start Tebow in front of Orton. What was the point of drafting him?! To sit him on the bench? Yeahhh. Orton is just a joke and will always be a back up QB. Go with Tebow for the future imo. Fuck, I'd rather see Quinn start than Orton

Because McDaniels drafted Tebow and Fox is the coach now?

maybe it has something to do with McDaniels being the one who drafted Tebow and the front office guys now have no idea what to do with him

Why does it matter who drafted him? He's still on your team and Orton is just settling. Tebow seemed promising for the future to me but I guess not to the people that it matters to.

how, exactly, did he seem promising for the future? he has trouble completing 10 yard out routes.

I really haven't seen every game he's played but when I've watched him play, he's done well or decent. And I've seen Orton play enough in Chicago and Denver to know how he isnt taking the team anywhere to where maybe it would be a good idea to see what a first round draft pick can do in a season.

Tebow hasn't really been promising, he has 1 or 2 plays here and there
everyone in Denver knows Orton is just the answer for right now and not for the future and it's looking like neither is Tebow

so they're just stuck with that they got

I'm not trying to make it sound like I'm tooting Tebows horn here or anything, it was more of my intention to say that he should have more of a chance because Orton isn't doing anything.

I think I'd agree that someone else would be a lot more promising than both of them but I was just saying, work with what ya got for now.

i know what you're saying but Orton has been the clear cut starter for right now, Tebow struggled a bunch in training camp

If Tebow wants to start a game. Then he needs to prove it in practices. Hard to rally your team when you look bad during practices.

nothing says "lets go team" like "bring in our #3 QB" when your team is trying to rally from behind. tough stuff.

There is no point in starting Kyle Orton. He's not going to be the future of your team, he is not going to lead your team deep into the playoffs.

They need to play Tebow. If they go 2-14, and he shows them nothing - then they can just draft a QB in the first round of the draft, whether it's Andrew Luck, Matt Barkley, or someone else. Tebow played good for them in the games he started last year, but he's not a typical QB type - you can't judge him in practice, he's not the most accurate guy, not the most traditional guy, but in games he has a knack for making plays. Last year he proved he could rush and score TDs in the NFL.

Who cares who drafted him? Fox didn't draft Orton or Quinn either. Fox is the coach now and rolling out a mediocre team with a mediocre RB, a mediocre WR corps, and a mediocre QB does nothing to help you this year or for the future.

If you're think you've got a playoff shot, you give it a go with a veteran QB for a bit and if it doesn't work you play your rookie, give him experience and then transition to him as the starter. That's what Cleveland did last year, now McCoy is in place as a starter. That's what Tennessee and Minnesota and Jacksonville are doing this year. That's also what the Broncos did last year, but for some reason, they are repeating it - one transitional year is fine, but doing the same thing 2 years in a row makes no sense. Their fans have every right to be annoyed. This is going to be a complete waste of a year for that franchise.
