Heard him play this live a few months back. Sounds good. Can't wait to see him in October.

I agree unfortunately. I have yet to hear anything that I felt was on the level of the songs on Brothers Blood.

The first time I heard this it was live in Baltimore on that mini-tour he supported Brand New on, and it was by far the best part of his set.. but I had no idea if it was a new song or some 90s cover. And then that acoustic session came around and I went apeshit bananas because I was hoping to hear it again soon.

All that being said, the stdio version of the track is much less mindblowing, and I'm sure my opinion won't change too much. That's not to say I think it's weak, but rather that it's the sort of song that's basically made to be played on stage. It's been by far my most anticipated song (on my most anticipated record) lately, so I'm glad to finally get to hear it and fantasize about the electric storm it's going to cause when he comes to Philly in October.

I rather like this song and I think the album has some potential.

This entire album is a grower. Songs like 11-17 and I Used to Be Someone stand out on a first listen but A Story, A Sneak and Awake in the Dirt have grown on me a hell of a lot

I respectfully disagree. From all of the songs I've heard (live or studio), I have a feeling this is going to be his best and most cohesive work yet. I don't want to judge too soon, but I am definitely excited. Also, this is his shortest full length since Circle Gets The Square. I think it's great that he's taking a more direct, succinct route with the songwriting this time around.

I submitted this... I don't like the song a whole lot, it takes too long to build.

I do like the previous songs I've heard him putting out lately, though..
