Haha that's what I was going to say when I read her answer, which truthfully should have been "because the cd didn't sell enough copies and we knew we'd lose money on pressing an lp". I even inquired about pressing this right after it came out and got turned down.

Don't get me wrong. I love Sargent House and can't thank Cathy enough for the many ways she's helped music, and I generally think she runs her label better than most people, but SH kinda "screwed the pooch" so to speak with this release. It never got the promotional push it deserved, and Native never got the support slots they should have gotten, esp. for their first album.

This record also came out around the same time as the Fang Island record, which no doubt is where all of SH's promotional funds were going at the time, due to the hype behind them. Still a phenomenal record nonetheless.

really liked this album, ...only thing is the vocals become too repetitive
