My one friend and I stopped making mixtapes for each other. Mainly because he's a music theory freak and has a stance of "if it isn't technical, it isn't good."

I still make mix cds for people. I usually choose too many songs and have to split them into two cds and title them both and specifically choose the order of the songs on each.

My mixed CDs from High School are filled with songs from
The All American Rejects - S/T
Brand New - Deja Entendu
Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends
Sugarcult - Start Static

I'm not gonna get into my Middle School Mixes which had songs like (112 - peaches & cream, coffee brown - after party, eminem - stan, Lady marmalade, shaggy - It wasnt me, Nas - Oochie Wallie, and other ridiculous radio songs haha)
My mix cds back then had exactly the same bands that you had too. Even the radio RnB / Rap songs! "Peaches and Cream" is still the shit. So is "Too Close" By Next hahaha good times.

My friend John and I made these all the time in high school. I have been listening to one actually that i found from circa 2005 that has bands like The Starting Line, Thrice, AFI, S.T.U.N., the Used, and The Early November on it. Classic and still love it. Especially the Funeral For A Friend song on it. We also made mixes with classic 80s tunes on it which Im sure everyone has done. Keep the mixes alive!

I used to make a ton of mix CDs when I had a radio show in grade 10. I still can't believe my friend and I got credit for that and I wish I still had some of them, but I don't. I know I'd still enjoy listening to them because my taste hasn't changed much since I was 15.

My cousin made me probably my first mix in middle school with Good Charlotte and Simple Plan all over it. Of course I still listen to them.

Really enjoyed this post. I actually try and keep the old idea of 'mixes' alive, even though with the increase of technology it's getting harder and harder. Anyway, with such a great share, I thought I would tell you about a blog I have called 'Mix Tape Revolution.' I'm not whoring it out (or at least trying not to have it come off that way) but I figured as someone who appreciates a good mix (and interesting titles) I would share it with you.

Again, thanks for the great post. And best wishes.
