Great review, can not wait to check this album out. I've even refrained from hearing the leaked track/s.

I've seen Gaslight play once in South Australia. A big fat bald guy waved a Sink or Swim vinyl in the air and cried, 'You're Sexy Like Chocolate'. They got a kick out of that, and seemed like such great dudes.
The more I hear of this record, the more it seems Fallon is trynig to do a 'sexy chocolate' Gaslight record... slower, smoother, even richer and full of soul.

Ladykiller and Blood Loss are clear highlights for me, though the low points are still quite good. The weakest track is Mary Ann imo.

I took your advice -- though I was going to let it grow on me anyway -- and it really does just get better and better. I'm constantly switching it with Father, Son, Holy Ghost by Girls in my car CD player and they might be the two best albums of the year. Have you given the Girls record a spin?
