You don't have to go all "balls to the wall" right away. Try going slowly but with intent at first. Since you said you want a girl's opinion, I'll try to help.

I agree with what other people said, you should start off just being slightly more aggressive and work your way up to see how comfortable she is with it. I'm sure it's hard to know right off the bat how crazy she wants it to be if she's not willing to discuss it.
