Actually Oh, Sleeper's Children of Fire might be the best metalcore album of the year for me. But TDWP has definitely created a more mature record and totally unique sound for themselves. There's absolutely no denying their passion, talent, musicianship, and hard work. Saw them on Warped Tour for the first time and I immediately understood.
Couldn't agree more! Dead Throne is great and the progression is massive; but after hearing Endseekers off the new Oh, Sleeper I think it will be the better of the two :)

This album, in my personal and honest opinion, is definitely one of my top albums of the year. Not even in just the genre, but in the whole spectrum of things. It shows maturity and a different style from a band that is trying to break the mold of what they have been casted in.

Really good review, it got my so much more excited for this.

Drew, which do you prefer, this or the latest BMTH album?
It's hard to say because I've only had Dead Throne for a few weeks and have had BMTH for over a year, so that album for now resonates more with me. But they are both spectacular.

new Oh, Sleeper is very good as well.

also, I really enjoy the latest ABR album too (as you could tell from my review of it), but the lyrics of this album connect with me more, not a knock against Leveler, fantastic album as well.

I'm really looking forward to this. I loved Zombie. I feel like the less singing they do, the better this band is.

that's a no brainer seeing as how the latest BMTH album was terrible compared to their last two efforts.
huh. 1. no 2. drew reviewed bmth at a 97% or something on the last album.

I hope someone makes a Watch the Dead Throne mash-up of this and The Throne.

I think that would be awful but it needs to happen.

On that, when can we expect that review? "Hush Yael," is easily their best song, and that's saying a lot for me. It's just a freaking awesome song. I love it to no end.

"Endseekers," is OK. Not that crazy about it.

However, if you haven't heard, "Hush Yael," you're missing something great.
