Some Mistakes

Atlanta, sometimes called "Hotlanta", may generally be known as the hometown to Black Lips and Neon Christ. But it can easily get skimmed over in terms of the creatively energetic hardcore punk bands it produces. With their Glamorous Mistakes 7" released on Heart In Hand Records earlier this year, Some Mistakes have stored enough intellectual rage and emotional disturbance to leave just the right amount of bittersweet flavor.

For those with a dose of nostalgia in their hearts, the ferocity of Modern Life Is War immediately comes to mind, and in the same token, their cathartic outpouring style can be likened to newer bands like Defeater. Gloomy key signatures, driving guitar leads, and appropriately magnified drumbeats define Some Mistakes as much as their shrill outcries do. So if you enjoy this, they're only getting started.

The guitarist of this band also plays/sings in Latin For Truth. Be sure to scope them out as well

My old label, Birdseye Recordings, released a tape for these guys about a year and a half to two years ago. Really great stuff. Would love to work with them again.
