she's got so much street cred.

At least she didn't live in a bubble.

She seems to understand her place in the music industry better than anyone else. Makes me happy.

yea i have nothing but respect for her. she seems pretty level headed and aware of what's really going on as far as musicians, the business, etc and she does what she wants, not settling for money or whatever else.

Never Again is actually a good song, and that hurts me to say, but it really is. I'm kind of interested to hear the rest of the CD

Artistic integrity isn't something you come by much in today's industry. It's good to see the most talented American Idol keep hers.

I guess when you're already rich enough you can afford to take chances on the music you really believe in. Just makes you wonder how many bands get the same "offer" from their labels who don't have the ability to say no to those requests (and I bet they don't get money for it either, they just get to keep their place on the roster).

That gives her so much respect in my book, because I think it's hard for artists on the radio to realize that. Sober is such a good song too.
